Hello, I’m Jo a qualified  advanced massage therapist, and yoga instructor based at Yurt in the City, Cardiff, UK.

I help others recognise and release held tension in the body to allow them to live a more fulfilling life.

As an Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage Therapist, training internationally and qualifying at the Jing Institute of Advanced Massage and Complementary Medicine, I use a fusion of techniques learnt from the East and West, combining mindful deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, soft

tissue therapy, myofascial release, acupressure and assisted stretching. My extensive and ongoing training specialises in the effective treatment of soft tissue injuries and chronic muscular pain conditions.

Holistically treating the mind, body and soul I offer a unique outcome based approach using the biopsychsocial model of pain to support you, your lifestyle and emotional well-being.

Professionally practising for the past four years, I have recently moved into the beautiful space that is Yurt in the city every Tuesday.  I look forward to growing my client base in Cardiff and the surrounding areas.

I’m available for individual, couple, group and event bookings and offer discounts on block bookings.

Oncology Massage

A massage is no longer contraindicated for anyone that has a history of or is undergoing treatment for cancer if the therapist is fully trained and the treatment is deemed suitable by the oncology team.  Gaining my qualification in oncology massage with Susan Findlay who is an industry leader and is bridging the gap between conventional and complimentary healthcare, I have adapted a very mindful touch.

Research has demonstrated that massage can offer numerous benefits that will help to improve a client’s journey back to health, diminish the side effects of treatment and offer comfort to those suffering from end stage cancer.

Words from Jo

“You don’t need to have a physical injury to benefit from massage therapy. I passionately believe that trauma is stored in the body not the mind and that’s what drew me to this beautiful and underused industry in the first place. I am very proud to be able to offer a fantastic service to the community.”
