as you remember you”

Somatic embodied processing

Somatics offer us a therapeutic, sensation-based approach to self-exploration and transformation. Lynsey offer trauma-informed somatic embodied processing work which is the unfolding of the wisdom expressing itself within you.  I to invite this unfolding from within those parts of us we that are hidden, rejected, shamed and abandoned. We invite play and curiosity into the difficult spaces. Lynsey deeply trust in the wisdom that arises with us all and knows how’s much strength and beauty and power we all have. Lynsey holds space as you experience your wisdom within you and find your medicine within.

Somatic processing is centred in feminine intelligence, guiding you to form a unique and FELT relationship with yourself and your own wisdom by sensing your experience from the inside.
Different from top-down, masculine oriented modalities that encourage people to follow an outside-in formula for change and healing.

This inquiry allows a softening into what is alive for us in the present moment, gently empowering you to meet, explore, feel, breathe into, hold and integrate exiled parts of yourself; the parts that we want to ignore, push away and not feel – from unprocessed shame, anger and unworthiness to the disowned pleasure, power and life force living inside of you

Somatic processing assists us in birthing otherwise unknown parts of ourselves and our experience into the known, by making the unconscious conscious.

it is through this work we can create a deeper sense of safety, trust, choice, empowerment to allow a greater sense of connection with self, others and our lives. Allowing us to feel a greater sense of wholeness.

Somatic Trauma informed practitioner

A trauma informed practitioner has I deep understanding of the many way in which trauma can effect mind, body and soul and the ways that it can show up in people’s lives and effect their lives.
We work with you create;
Safety.
Trust
Choice.
Collaboration.
Empowerment.
We seeing the person as whole and complete rather than to try to fix them.

As a somatic trauma informed practitioner Lynsey works with a bottom up approach rather than a top down approach. You will ask you “what is happening in your body now as a result of what happened to you” rather “than what happened to you”

This approach allows the person to be with their directly experience rather than in the story of what happened in the past. We work together to create safety and trust in your own bodies wisdom and intelligence to allow a greater connection with self and others. To allow the body to regulate and be the your present moment experience and grow in capacity to hold all that is present.

“Trauma is not what happened to us, but what we hold inside in the absence of a loving witness”
Peter levine

Trauma can be stored in the body. It doesn’t just disappear, or magically released never to return again. Trauma is something that we learn to build our capacity to hold. To learn ways in which to regulate our nervous system, through breath, intention, awareness, curiosity and loving kindness. To listen to the internal intelligence and wisdom of our bodies and what we needs to create safety in our bodies to allow us to be with all that is present.

By listening to our body wisdom we can tap into what our body need to move held energy and tension through our bodies. We do this through our breath, through touch, through movement, through loving awareness and acceptance. It is to unshame our trauma and rather than trying to fix it or get rid of it but to be in capacity to hold it with loving awareness and acceptance. Allowing us to move from feeling broken to Whole Again.

Words from Lynsey

“Bodywork is more than just a massage it’s holding space to allow the unfolding of the mind, body and soul. To hold space without judgement or ego. To give permission of all parts of the unconscious, subconscious and conscious to be present. To give permission to feel into all that is present in your body and explore with curiosity and love. Unshaming those parts of ourselves that are hidden, denied and abandoned. To be free to feel and be fully connected with your body, mind and soul. To be connected with all that is. To be present, to be alive in our bodies. To feel free and whole again”

"I highly recommend Lynsey. I've used different people over the years but Lynsey is worth every penny and I will never use anyone else. Not only does she sort my body, she's helped me to develop a mindset to overcome different challenges and situations. I haven't felt this connected before, and I love how it feels"

"I have been having monthly massages with Lynsey for nearly 12 years. She has helped me with my arthritis, frozen shoulder and even did my pregnancy massages when I was pregnant. Her advice and support has been invaluable over the years and my monthly massages are my perfect chill out time. Would highly recommend"
